Description

Many keepers that raise Bolt Cicada admire the larvae for the two "blush" spots on either side of the larva's face, and although it looks like they have a massive stinger, the apendage mostly serves as an anchor for the larva during harsh rainstorms. These larva are a favourite snack of False Ravens, despite the bug's petite size and thick carapace.
