COLLECTED PERSONAL INFORMATION
Safira Island only collects information necessary to provide our services. This information includes your email, birthdate, the username of your linked external account, and the customized information of your SafiraIsland.com account (such as your Safira Island username, password, and avatar). Logs will also be created of user comments, submissions, bug reports, and similar game activity for archive purposes.
SafiraIsland.com additionally utilizes a CAPTCHA system, which may deploy necessary cookies and collect a user’s IP address for the sake of bot detection and mitigation.
All shared information is expected to be true, complete, and accurate. If any information becomes outdated, it is expected that the user will update it either through SafiraIsland.com’s user settings panel or by contacting a Safira Island moderator.
HOW IS INFORMATION USED?
Information collected by Safira Island is used to enable site features, manage user accounts, detect and mitigate bot activity, and enforce our Terms of Service.
Personal information is confidential and protected. It is only shared in a protected environment with partners that provide services to Safira Island, where these partners will only receive the information necessary to provide their services. (An example of this would be our email service sending a verification email or our CAPTCHA provider authorizing registration validity.)
Account information including usernames, submissions, and game logs may be visible to other users. Account information such as birthdates and online statuses will have varying visibility to other users based on preferences configured in the user settings panel. (By default, a user's birthdate is hidden while their online status is visible to all users.)
Should a user’s account activity be deemed suspicious and require manual review, the primary site administrator may have the ability to bypass account visibility settings. This excludes account information that would allow other users to gain access to an account, such as passwords, which will always remain confidential and protected.
ACCESSING AND UPDATING PERSONAL INFORMATION
Users will always be able to review, update, or delete any personal information collected and stored on SafiraIsland.com’s servers. Please notice that the deletion of some data may result in a loss of access to select website features, although feature access may be revived at any point by sharing and consenting to store the inputted information once more. Unless data is manually updated or deleted, SafiraIsland.com retains collected and stored information as long as a user has an account with us.
Although Safira Island prioritizes users’ ability to manage their information, the ability to review, update, and delete data shared with SafiraIsland.com’s third-party providers is subject to those parties’ terms and policies. For information regarding what service providers SafiraIsland.com has elected to work with, please reach out to our primary site administrator, AnimatedCritter.
To maintain website archive services, an account cannot be completely deleted. This means that usernames and game data will remain visible, but identifying information such as linked external accounts, passwords, and birthdates can be deleted.
LINKS TO EXTERNAL SITES
Safira Island may have links to external sites that are not operated by us. As such, we have no control over and are not responsible for the content, privacy policies, or practices of these third-party sites. It is suggested that you review the terms and policies of every site you visit. This includes Safira Island’s official Discord server, Trello board, and Toyhou.se world.
