ACCOUNT CREATION
By registering an account on Safira Island, you are agreeing to abide by all rules and regulations in this document as well as those in our Privacy Policy. You agree to adhere to any consequences that may occur from the violation of these terms. If you do not agree with these conditions, you are not permitted to use our site.
Users must be at least thirteen (13) years of age to create an account. No one under the age of thirteen (13) will be permitted to use the site.
Each user is allowed one (1) account. At no point should a user possess multiple accounts nor should accounts be made using a bot. Accounts suspected of bot activity will be flagged for manual review, where a flagged account deemed to violate these terms may be soft deleted. Deleted accounts can be revived up to one (1) week after termination by contacting a Safira Island moderator. After one week has passed, we cannot guarantee that an account can be revived.
Accounts are user-bound and are not to be sold or transferred to another user.
Created accounts are to be used for participation in the group or access to our archive services. Accounts should not be used for:
- Harassment or bullying of others.
- Publication or distribution of hateful, pornographic, racist, or offensive content.
- Impersonation of other individuals or organizations.
- Acquisition, distribution, or modification of users’ information.
- Hacking, modifying, cheating, or exploiting bugs on the site and its servers.
- Attempts to interfere with or hinder other users' experiences.
You are responsible for the activity on your account and accept any consequences of violation, including but not limited to reduced access to site features, temporary suspension of the account, and/or account termination.
OFFICIAL DESIGNS
Safira Island and its characters (henceforth referred to as Safirans) are a Semi-Open Species. Safirans are not to be advertised as official without being submitted to the masterlist or having direct approval from the owner, AnimatedCritter.
By creating an official Safiran, whether via make-your-own or as a guest artist, you are agreeing to never apply personal design terms of service that would allow for the revocation of the Safiran from an owner.
Official designs will be posted in the masterlist. Please refer there to be certain your purchase is of a valid Safiran. We are not responsible for any scams that may occur nor will we mediate any conflict that may arise from neglecting to check the masterlist.
Using the Safira Island name for advertisements or descriptions of unofficial designs is discouraged, although we will take no action, so long as the designer is transparent that the design is not an official Safiran and may require changes to be used in the Safira Island group and uploaded to the masterlist.
OWNERSHIP
You are not required to participate or be registered with the group to own a Safiran. Regardless of membership, owners are responsible for truthfully recording the transfer history of their Safirans. If you choose not to create an account, you must contact a Safira Island moderator elsewhere to update the character's masterlist entry.
Co-ownership is permitted, albeit discouraged. The official owner is recognized as the primary user listed on the Safiran's masterlist entry, and although co-owners may be included in the masterlist, Safira Island is not responsible for any issues that may arise from the decision to co-own a Safiran.
Safirans can be voluntarily voided. Voiding a Safiran will remove the character from the group and nullify any group rules it's bound to. Have it be noted that:
- The original designer's terms still apply to voided characters.
- Voiding a Safiran will make the character unable to participate in the group.
- Voided Safirans should not be referred to as an official Safira Island species unless it's in reference to the character's history.
- Voided characters remain in the masterlist, although this is solely for archive purposes and entries will not be updated.
- If you obtain a voided Safiran, the void is reversible unless:
- The Safiran's original designer had requested for the character to be permanently voided while in their possession.
- The character was permanently voided due to scamming committed by the last recorded owner.
- You are unable to provide proof of ownership with records linking back to the last recorded owner.
- You are unwilling to make design modifications, if required.
COMMUNITY & SUBMISSION GUIDELINES
Safira Island is a PG-13 group and users are expected to treat others with respect. Content should not be hateful, discriminatory, defamatory, threatening, or invasive of anyone's privacy. There will be no tolerance for gossiping, drama, harassment, or bullying. If someone requests a change of topic, please adhere to that request.
Please apply a filter or warning to any of the following:
- Content that uses flashing lights, strobe effects, or fast-moving images
- Heavy or potentially triggering topics
- Strong profanities
- Moderate to severe gore
Any content containing the following is prohibited from SafiraIsland.com and all associated sites. At no point should content contain:
- NSFW (not safe for work) in any form or circumstance (including any fetishes).
- This especially applies in areas that are accessible to minors.
- Usage of illicit substances
- Gratuitous violence
When submitting a Safiran design or redesign, it should not copy or heavily reference any characters that do not belong to you (this includes characters from both small creators and large corporations). Should you be the owner of the character in question, you may recreate them for use in the Safira Island ARPG (art role-playing game).
Safirans are allowed to interact with and participate in the lore of non-Safiran characters and species. Although such interactions are not canon, they are always welcome in Safira Island's prompts and gallery submissions.
- If you draw a Safiran with another original species, do not submit it to that species' group without the group owner's permission. This is to respect the other species' world-building and avoid any potential conflict.
If you have any questions regarding the content you wish to submit to the group, contact any of Safira Island's moderators.
VIOLATIONS
By agreeing to our Terms of Service, you will be held accountable to abide by its guidelines. Willfully or unknowingly violating these terms will be dealt with accordingly.
Minor offenses will use a strike system. Such cases will be handled differently depending on the situation and your strike tally.
- A strike may be registered inactive after a certain amount of time has passed. Although an inactive strike won't count towards a user’s total tally, it will remain on record.
- Users with three (3) or more active strikes will be banned.
Users who have committed severe offenses (such as exposing a minor to NSFW or scamming other users) will be banned from the group regardless of strike tallies.
Upon being banned:
- All of the banned user’s Safirans, account items, and account currencies will become void.*
- The user’s account will be suspended and they will not be able to participate in the group in any way.
- Attempts to view a banned user’s profile will return with a public ban notice and a reason for the ban.
*Safiran designs voided due to a ban will never be revoked (the design will remain under the ownership of the user) although it will no longer be classified as an official Safiran.
