Typhoon has always been a temperamental aqualox, her youth filled with skirmishes and lectures, but it only taught her the art of persuasion and evasion. As the years passed, Typhoon's arts were refined, enabling her kleptomaniac urges. She never thought anything of it.

Eventually, Typhoon grew up, met new people, and started a life for herself. It was a simple one, working as a shipping and receiving clerk, that (save for a few stolen packages) went with little note. It was only while living with her flatmate, Yesterday, that the severity of Typhoon's covetous instincts revealed itself.

The two had known each other for so many years, and yet it all happened so fast. Typhoon has little memory of how the events unfolded. All she knows is that one night, as the moon set on the Little Greeting River, she stood in an alleyway with Yesterday's bloodied Soul Gem in her paws.

It took Typhoon hours to muster the courage to return to the shack she and Yesterday shared, where she discovered two whimpering hatchlings. Overwhelmed with shock (Yesterday never mentioned having pups!) Typhoon steeled herself and vowed to raise the hatchlings as if they were her own; Yesterday deserved that much at least. 

Typhoon poured her heart into parenting the two, but still couldn't give up her life in the underground. She never told the pups, Pipkin and Paloma, about their father or who she truly was. Even twenty years later, as she prepared to flee her home and evade trial, Typhoon left no explanation. Typhoon regretted no part of her life and only hoped those she loved could find it in their hearts to understand.
