Waltz of the Jesters || Grabbing Goodies

"So, what do you think, Aegis? We can do whatever you want to do- stay here or go wandering around! I know you don't like staying still for too long." Rorqual looked over to the other lox, who seemed to be focusing a great deal on the caravan that was passing by. He seemed to consider for a moment, but only for a moment. "I want to stay here, we can leave when the caravan does, but I don't want to follow them. I don't want to be around the same people too long... I might hurt them if the crowd starts to die down.." Rorqual nodded, understanding the other's worries. "Alright, Aegis! I'll see if I can grab some fun stuff for you from the Caravan, and then we can take you home!"

Aegis perked up, stammering. "You don't have to do that, Rorqual! I just wanted to watch the parade, you don't need to get me anything! You already got me so much at the carnival, I don't-" But before he could finish his plea, Rorqual was already walking closer to the parade and attempting to grab toys and treats that were being tossed to the crowd by the jesters of the caravan. Aegis shrunk, unable to feel confident with Rorqual being so far away, but also being too nervous to move forwards in case he knocked into someone.

Thankfully, Rorqual wasn't gone long, returning to Aegis and placing a few small plastic necklaces over his cloak and placing some assorted toys into his paws. "There- I got a few things- oh, I think you'll really like this one!" He then pulled out a mask that he had grabbed, holding it out to Aegis. "A mask.." He noted, and Rorqual nodded. "Yeah! Just in case the cloak gets too stuffy or anything, maybe a mask would be easier to wear while still hiding yourself!" Aegis smiled slightly. Rorqual really did care about him, even when bringing him to these fun things that he wouldn't normally go to. He placed the mask on under the cloak, noting how comfortable he felt wearing it.
