Rorqual had a goal for the carnival, well, he had multiple, but he had a big goal in mind that he couldn't let slip, or the effect would be totally ruined. He looked over to the cloaked aqualox next to him, or well, a bit away from him. Aegis still had the issue of slowly chipping away at someone's life force when around them for too long, but they had found out together that the more creatures that were around him, the less dangerous it would be for an individual. Rorqual was sure that if they went to the carnival, the worst that could happen was that people around them got a bit drowsy, and it wasn't like carnivals didn't do that already. "Are you sure about this, Rorqual?" Aegis asked, head tilting slightly as he looked up to the other. "I-I don't have to go, you can go without me, I wouldn't be upset at all..."
"Nonsense, Aegis! You're coming with me! It'll be fine, and you'll have tons of fun, I promise!" And he meant it, too. One of his goals was to give Aegis a fun memory to combat all of the bad he's been through, another was to make people around them more comfortable with seeing Aegis, cloaked and hidden as he was. Of course it would be ominous the first or... first seven events they would go to, but eventually they would start to get used to him, and maybe he could make even more friends!
As they entered the carnival, Aegis' eyes moved over to the stands, ignoring all of the foods and the rides, and especially ignoring the tent. Being completely still around others for hours on end? Not exactly Aegis' idea of a good time, for himself or for others. Instead, he nervously moved over to one of the game booths, which seemed to hold a large assortment of plush critters in the prize box. The game itself was based around knocking over bottles that were stacked precariously in a pyramid shape on top of the table. His eyes seemed to sparkle under his hood as he saw a very particular plushie behind the counter.
A Large poco plushie, almost the size of him if not larger. However, his face fell slightly when he looked at the requirement to win; knocking down all of the bottles. Rorqual seemed to notice both of these things at the same time, and confidently walked up to the aqualox running the stand. He was provided with three heavy plastic balls, but it didn't matter how many he was given. The first ball was thrown with a good amount of both force and precision, knocking down the entire stack in what looked like a grand explosion of bottles- some even falling out of the stand altogether.
The booth runner handed the giant plush poco to Rorqual, who then handed it to Aegis, who- even though Rorqual didn't dare point it out- blushed softly behind his cloak. Yet another goal of Rorqual's was completed, though he wouldn't mind winning Aegis a few more plushies before they left the carnival grounds.
