First Rainfall || Rain Rest

"Kairu, can you get Frost off of the windowsill? He's going to fall if we leave him up there..." Fairuza had spoken, but then turned around, noticing that the red aqualox was not in the room, and neither was the sleet poco he mentioned. "Kairu?" it took him a moment to notice where the two had went, seeing that the door was open and starting to hear the pattering of rain. The first rain of April- Kairu seemed to be more excited about it than Fairuza was, but he couldn't exactly blame him for that- Fair was always somewhat odd when it came to rain, like to hear it, like to see it, but whenever he would go out in it he'd start to get sleepy, which he didn't appreciate much. Even so, he found himself walking outside in order to keep an eye on his boyfriend. Didn't want him to wander off while having fun in the rain, after all, he had a tendency to get lost in his enjoyment of things, sometimes quite literally.

As soon as he walked out, he was met with a large splash of water, which hit him directly on the face and caused him to flinch slightly. "Oops, sorry Ruza! Nice of you to come out and enjoy the rain, though." The blue lox sighed lightly, shaking slightly before opening his eyes and taking in the scene in front of him. Kairu was jumping in the start of some very large puddles, while Frost was sitting on the water, seemingly relaxing out in the rain. Fairuza was glad that they both seemed to be enjoying themselves, but quickly looked up to the sky, unable to keep himself from getting a bit nervous about the idea of lightning. It was part of why he went out here in the first place, there was the idea of Kairu wandering off, of course, but the idea of either Kairu or Frost getting struck by lightning was even more terrifying. Thankfully, the sky seemed to be full of rain, allowing the shorter of the two to sigh out in relief, and fully walk out into the rain, closing his eyes again and allowing the feeling of the raindrops on his body to calm him. "Do you want to play in the puddles with me, or would you prefer just to sit in the rain?" Kairu offered, walking over and nuzzling the other aqualox with a small chirp.

He was always so considerate, wanting to include Fairuza while not forcing him to do anything he didn't want to do himself. "I think I'll be fine here, Kairu. The rain is nice and I'd like to appreciate it in my own way, though you can continue to splash in the puddles if you'd like. Just... don't wander off too far, if it starts storming any worse I might want you to get inside." Kairu nodded, jumping off to start to play in the puddles again. Fairuza then felt the small shape of a poco sitting next to him in the rain, no doubt Frost had seen his friend come out into the rain and decided to join him- the little guy was always a bit clingy, but Fairuza didn't mind. It was calming, perhaps a bit too calming. He let out a yawn into the air, and before he could keep himself from doing so, he softly laid down on the wet ground, beginning to snore lightly.

---

When Fairuza woke up, it was much darker than it had been before. The little rainbows that had been around previously were gone, and the clouds looked much more dangerous than they had before, causing the aqualox to bolt up a bit, disrupting the poco next to him who complained with a small, tired squeak. He also heard another unfamiliar squeak, seeing another poco had snuggled up to Frost and was therefor also disturbed by the aqualox's movements. Thankfully, he didn't have to panic about finding Kairu, finding that his beloved had also taken to having a nap next to him, continuing to snore away. He knew that Kairu wouldn't wake up on his own, and he sighed lightly. He tapped the poco on his side, keeping his voice soft. "Get inside, Frost. You can go back outside once the storm isn't as bad, okay? You should bring your new friend inside too, don't want them to get hurt, right?" Frost squeaked in response, bumping into the yellow poco and leading them inside the house.

Fairuza on the other paw, was moving so that he could carry Kairu on his back, Which ended up being a bit of a task between the fin on his lower back and the scales across his body. He didn't want to hurt Kairu after all, and he might even wake up if met with cold, wet scales. Thankfully, or perhaps unfortunately, in some ways, Fairuza was able to pick up Kairu without waking up the other aqualox, hauling him inside just as he heard a roll of thunder go across the land. He waddled over to drop Kairu on a pile of cushions, letting Frost handle closing the door behind them.

As soon as the pink lox hit the cushions, he grumbled and stirred slightly. Perhaps it was because of the warmth of the home, maybe it was because of the softness of the cushions, but he was starting to wake up, drowsily looking up at Fairuza. "Ruza, how long have I been sleeping?" He asked, and the other lox could only chuckle. "Beats me, love. I woke up only a little bit ago, had to get you inside before the lightning got near." Kairu nodded, humming lightly before rolling on the cushions slightly, leaving a space next to him. "Well, I'm still sleepy, can we keep napping while the storm goes on?"

Fairuza didn't respond with words, instead snuggling down next to the other aqualox and laying his head down, letting the peace of the indoors lull him to sleep just as much as he let the peace of the rain do the same.
