Scavenger Hunt | Casual Collection
There was always an unfortunate habit that other loxes had when it came to Aegis- and that was forgetting that the Sweetheart Summit was his home. It was where he stayed in order to keep from hurting people- and every other lox just assumed that he was an innocent bystander that was just as clueless as anyone else. It was because of this that a group of young loxes found him and proceeded to shove a tablet list into his paws. Of course, he wasn't going to say no to the request of finding the items, especially since he would get it done rather quickly.
The three items he was asked to find were natural materials; A Big Top Mushroom, a bundle of Frostnip Crystals, and a singular Summit Quartz stone. While navigating the summit wasn't an issue for Aegis, actually getting the items into his paws was a bit more difficult. If it had been lox-made objects, then he most likely would have been able to simply find them loose on the ground. However, when it came to natural materials, those were attached to the ground in some way. The mushroom wasn't a big deal, simply plucking it out of the ground was enough- but when it came to the crystal and quartz, it was an entirely different matter.
The frostnip crystals had to be brought with while still fully attached to the flora they grew on. Aegis didn't want to harm the other loxes by giving them raw crystal, even if he could hold it just fine- his natural life-stealing energy force somehow killing whatever parasitic force caused the painful sensation. The quartz was a bit more of a challenge. Aegis wasn't exactly strong, and he wasn't exactly good with a pickaxe either. Of course, the lack of options lead to stupid decisions. Aegis slammed the Crystal onto the sides of the rock holding the quartz in place, a challenge between the ice-like crystal and the solid rock. As dumb as the idea was, it somehow worked out, the quartz loosening up enough so that Aegis could grab it.
When he returned, the young loxes seemed shocked that Aegis was able to do it so quickly. Of course, they had asked how Aegis had managed it- but he simply stated it was a secret before running off up the summit again.
The loxes might return later, try to find him again- but Aegis certainly hoped they wouldn't.
