[WTA - EARTHLY TETHERS] Stuck like Lava

"And what is your curse, boy?" The creature looked towards Aegis, having gone through conversations with multiple loxes that came to witness the creature emerging from the ground. Aegis thought he was far enough to the point where nobody would notice him, but it seemed that burrowing creature had. "I... pardon me?" Aegis asked, tilting his head slightly. "Do not act dumb with me, boy! Your presence is making my mind free from thought- how are you doing that!?" They barked. 

Aegis felt himself move back slightly, knowing exactly why that was happening. "I... forgive me. I do not believe that I am... stealing your mind's ability to think... I may accidentally be stealing portions of your life force... I do ask that you uh... not be so close." Despite the other's words, the large aqualox seemed to step forward even more aggressively. "Absolutely not! This is the most mental freedom I've had in what feels like centuries! I shall not allow you to leave me back to my thoughts!" 

"But, sir I don't think that's a-" Aegis tried once more to argue, but was silenced almost immediately. "No! No more arguing with me, boy! This is my final decision! I shall be following you for as long as I can stand! If you're so worried about my life force, then I'll leave you be if I feel any distress! Though I doubt that will be an issue, considering that I have gone through much worse! The depths of the underground are no joke, foolish one!"

The gray lox wanted to argue but knew that he couldn't. Instead, he just sighed, looking away from the other. "I... do suppose that you can follow along... as long as you're taking care of yourself."

Admittedly, even if the other aqualox didn't take care of themself during all of this, it wasn't like Aegis could stop them.
